The Chingay Taster Experience (CTE) is a new programme that provides exclusive opportunities for online and TV audiences to participate in different activities and trial workshops.
You can sign up by clicking on the respective links below. Please note that spaces are limited and registration is on a first-come-first-served basis. By registering for the CTE, you acknowledge the following :
(a) Please ensure that you are able to attend the session before signing up so as not to deprive others of the opportunity. Participants who are no-show at the activities / workshops may not be allowed to sign up for other activities / workshops under CTE. Please note that the Organiser may refuse and/or cancel any registration at its sole and absolute discretion.
(b) Photos, videos and other recordings may be taken during these sessions. You agree that the Organiser may use such photographs, videos and other recordings in the Organiser’s sole and absolute discretion , including but not limited to use for publicity purposes and/or such other use(s) in the future.
(c) Any personal data provided by you may be used for the administration of these sessions as well as other Chingay-related purposes.
Clay Art (60min) [ENDED]
The Air Clay Sculpture is a taster workshop for the participant to get familiar with the air dry clay available in vibrant colours as a medium which does not need any firing unlike the regular pottery clay. The participants will be creating their beautiful artwork and learn the technique under the supervision of the trainer. They will be able to take back their artwork with them after the workshop.

Metal Tooling (60min) [ENDED]
The art of metal tooling is a centuries old art form also known as metal embossing, it uses simple tools like wooden sticks to create designs on metal.
Participants will get to experience embossing floral designs onto the metal sheets and take home their masterpieces.

Acrylic Pouring (90min) [ENDED]
Acrylic pouring on transparent bookmark . Participants to draw in motifs of space an colour on one side of the bookmark and learn how to pour on the other side using acrylic pouring technique.

Jazz Dance [ENDED]
Jazz Dance combines rhythm, expression and technique with aspects of a variety of popular and street music, using the body as an instrument to interpret the various styles. Forms of Jazz include the rhythmic and stylish modern jazz, incorporating lyrical and contemporary styles and the classical lines of Jazz Ballet. Is a type of different dance style to create a new aesthetic world. It takes elements from mix of ballet, modern, lyrical footwork and can use music from different ethnic culture.
