Through the Looking Lens presented by Chua Chu Kang Cluster
About Through the Looking Lens
Through The Looking Lens is an inspiration drawn from the world-renowned author Lewis Carroll’s “Through the Looking Glass”.
A metaphor to describe a world that seems unfamiliar such as when things are turned upside down, instead of going through a mirror like in the novel, we took to one of Singaporeans’ favourite hobbies of photography and used the camera instead.
The wire sculpture rabbit is a tribute to the rabbit in the novel and a nod to the lunar year of the rabbit, injecting a fun whimsical feel to the artwork. The rabbit looks like it is hopping to look into the camera lens out of curiosity of how Singapore’s future will look like.
