WEAVE & PATCH TAPESTRY
Greetings from a city full of life! Each voice displays ingenuity and together they form rich tapestries of our time, using whatever that is accessible to tell our stories.
It was first presented at PAssionArts Festival 2023 that saw collaborative effort by residents, each contributing a piece of tapestry crafted from repurposed fabric scraps. The residents transformed discarded materials by weaving and patching them into unique art pieces, showcasing the beauty of creativity and sustainability. This collective endeavor not only celebrates the spirit of community collaboration but also highlights the potential for artistic expression.
Proudly led by Bukit Batok Community Arts and Culture Club, residents continued to be engaged to add on giant flowers made of upcycled material to further complement the original art installation.

BLOOMING HEART
To blossom is to come into your own and to be your best self. This concept is epitomised by these six fairies dancing around the tree that symbolises life.
Led by Tampines Changkat Community Arts & Culture Club, and guided by the community artist, residents turned plastic bags, felts, and fabric scraps into flowers. A little creativity and imagination gives us these vibrant and blossoming dresses of the fairies, showcasing the beauty of sustainability.

GARDEN GATEWAY
Our stories and well wishes bear testament to our beings. With hope, we blossom even stronger as we continue to build our city as illustrated by the well wishes on this installation.
This also served as a beautiful photo backdrop at the PAssionArts Festival 2023 organised by Mountbatten Community Arts and Culture Club while encouraging community to give their creativity touch to it. The small wooden blocks with well wishes were assembled into mosaics resembling flower petals. When placed together, the petals of each individual structure formed heart shapes, symbolising the collective love and aspirations of the community.
Take this opportunity to add your own messages to the installation, enriching the display of positivity and community spirit.
