The Chingay Parade area will be opened for members of the public to access and immerse in the Chingay spirit! Get up-close with the Container Art installations, the Rabbits ART-Venture and the Chingay Floats. There will also be special performances by our international friends (on Sunday, 5 Feb 2023) and a 10-min Chingay Light show happening twice every night.
Standing 18 metres high, and spanning over 60 metres, the Container Art Installation is made up of 28 units of 20-footer and 40-footer containers, designed and conceptualised by Sam Lo. This largest-ever Community Art Installation at Chingay Parade is co-created by 480 youths over three weekends and serve as the performance backdrop for Chingay 2023
Debuted at Chingay 2022, the Chingay Mini Floats is an initiative by PAssionArts and 17 Grassroots Organisations to involve residents to co-create their own mini floats, guided by local artists. A total of 17 unique "Future Singapore" Chingay Mini Floats are presented at Chingay Parade 2023 and will be on display at various heartlands, to bring cheer to the community!
